Left Elbow surgery for Tennis Elbow. Mr Desai was excellent from my first Consultation, Pre Op, Operation/Aftercare and final consultation. I would highly recommend Mr Desai and all of the staff at St Hugh’s Hospital Grimsby.

Mr Desai operated on my shoulder at Lincoln Hospital in early July 2023. He carefully explained the possible treatments at our first meeting and I follow his advice to have surgery. I was a day patient at the hospital. I was sore for several days and uncomfortable for a week or so, however the treatment was a great success. I'm having physiotherapy which will continue for 4 more weeks. I'm very happy with care and treatment I received from all the staff at the hospital.

I was referred by my GP with a suspected trigger thumb which was very painful. I was seen within a few weeks and my appointment was on time. Mr Desai listened to me & explained the various options. I had an ultrasound & steroid injection a few weeks later which has cured the problem. I saw Mr Desai yesterday, again seen on time. He has now discharged me but said if the problem reoccurs to get my GP to refer me back to him. The hospital is easy to get to, clean and tidy. The parking is free. Staff are friendly.

I was referred to Mr. Desai by my GP For his opinion on my painful shoulder and on first meeting him I felt so at ease with his friendly manner and very efficient diagnosis which was that I needed a shoulder replacement and the operation would be performed as soon as possible but could be up to a year as he was very busy with a full schedule However it was only a matter of weeks when I was called as he had a gap in his schedule and had allocated it to me. Throughout the whole process from pre-op to post-op he and his team were excellent. I was treated with respect and made to feel like royalty by all the staff at St. Hughs Hospital in Grimsby even though this is a private hospital and I was an NHS patient. Since my operation I am under his care as an outpatient and cannot speak more highly of him. He is an outstanding surgeon and a very polite and friendly man. A proper gentleman.
